Former Tory minister and government whip Baroness Trumpington, died at the age of 96.
Retired from lords last year, he retired from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture in the 1980s and 1990s.
Seven years ago, the images went viral online, showing a Tory at V-mark about what he saw as a rough statement about his age.
In the Second World War, he worked in Marine Intelligence at Bletchley Park.
He was fluent in French and German, then 18-year-old worked as a cypher clerk, copying messages from German submarines as a encoder.

Before entering Parliament in 1980, Lady Trumpington was a council member at Cambridge, later as mayor.
He also served as Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and John Major in the government.
The death of Mrs. Trumpington was approved by her son Barker, who said in his sleep on Monday afternoon.
He published a photo of her mother's parliamentary transition on Twitter, and that still showed four years of work.
He wrote: "He did not do it until October 2022 (100). But he had a bloody good hit."
Penny Mordaunt, Secretary of International Development, described Lady Trumpington as a "trailblazer, hero and absolute joy", while former Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron said "admirable, decent and unique."
Conservative Vice President James Cleverly Twitter said"It's sad to hear the code break, two fingers shaking, Baroness Trumpington has passed. Ma'am, we salute you."
In 2011, his wife of friends introduced the two-fingered movement in Lord Kinglight to a wider audience outside of Lady Trumpington, and soon appeared on programs including Backchat for You, Backchat and the Great English Menu.
He said the former Secretary of Defense was "quite old", claiming to be World War II veterans and one of the last remaining members of the Lords.
Political stalwart mixed with Lloyd George and Thatcher
He was the daughter of society who wiped out the incredible advances of Lloyd-George and the Nazi warrior at war.
In his long political career, he was mayor of Cambridge, a Conservative whip, and served as minister of health in Margaret Thatcher's government.
But at the age of 96, Baroness Trumpington, who had died at the age of 96, had found a fame and a place in the heart of the nation when he cast a V-flag on the occasion of the Lord of House debate.
He was probably his best career move ever and did his best on his newly discovered YouTube memo.
