It's no secret that AMD has developed a new Radeon RX 590 graphics card that should be available in the middle of this month. Accordingly, AMD partners are now actively preparing their own versions of this graphics accelerator, and the details are slowly infiltrating the Web. For example, it turned out that the XFX was preparing a Radeon RX 590 Fatboy OC + graphics card.
Apparently, with the launch of the XFX Radeon RX 590 graphics card, it decided to launch the new Fatboy lineup (Fatboy), and the innovation received a slightly higher cooling system than the two expansion slots. Includes two fans, four heat pipes and a very large aluminum radiator. The reinforcement plate is placed on the rear panel.
The video card is equipped with two additional power connectors, one eight-pin and the other six. The video output panel has one DVI-I, HDMI and three DisplayPorts. Externally, the new product is exactly the same as the XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS and is equipped with the same cooling system. Therefore, why XFX had to create a new series, so far remains a mystery.
But the most interesting, according to the source, is the clock frequency of the graphics processor of the XFX Radeon RX 590 Fatboy OC + graphics card at 1600 MHz. Apparently, we're talking about frequency mode Boost. However, this is a very high frequency for a Polaris GPU. Apparently, the transition to 12 nm process technology made it possible to achieve such high rates. Also note that this leak confirms the previous one, which indicates the ability of new products to operate at very high frequencies.
