The French model will once again share the platform with Nissan Qashqai.
Losing a record net loss of 8 billion Euros in 2020, Renault hopes to develop its business with a “renaissance” plan. The strategy, designed for five years, mainly focuses on the production of electric cars (including the revived R5), but it will take some time for them to emerge and now you have to make money. That’s why the company continues to modernize its fuel vehicles.
One of the best ways to increase cash flow for car brands these days is to release a new crossover. One of them recently caught our spies: this is a second-generation prototype Renault Kadjar tested in winter conditions. Featuring a more angular design than before, the body still looks tightly camouflaged yet ready for production. A completely new LED lighting technology at the front and rear looks like the series reminiscent of the 2020 Renault Megane eVision concept.
Like the original Renault Kadjar released six years ago, its successor will share the platform with the Nissan Qashqai crossover. Second, it survived generation change just last week. The “Japanese” grew up and abandoned the diesel engine and switched to all-electric power stations. Although there is no official data yet, it is possible that the French model could follow his example.
The full premiere of the new Renault Kadjar is expected in the second half of the year. The model will enter the European market at the end of this year or early next year.
