We know which processor the Galaxy S10 will have, LTE will have 2 Gbit / s!

Samsung is preparing a new flagship for the Galaxy S10 and its older brother throughout the week. Although it is said to have a non-infamous version of the smartphone, this is just a speculation. The new flagship we know will be supported by the new Exynos 9820 processor.

The latest Exynos is replacing Exynos 9810, the current top model that the manufacturer uses on his Galaxy S9 smartphone. The new Exynos 9820 has more to use than the upcoming flagship Galaxy S10. We'll wait until the end of February next year, but Samsung may be surprised to announce this in the news before Barcelona in MWC 2019.

The new processor is very different than before. With 2 + 2 + 4 cores, with the FinFET LPP architecture, the 8nm manufacturing process supports fast data transmission over the operator network with up to 2 Gbit / s and artificial intelligence. However, this innovation does not support 5G networks, but it is not overlooked that the Galaxy S10 will have the new Exynos Modem 5100, which Samsung recently introduced.

CPU configuration consists of 2 + 2 + 4 core system. Two of them are Cortex-A75, 4 core Cortex-A55 and the first two are mysterious. About the 4th generation of nuclei.

However, the main difference is the speed of the chipset. While the previous model deals with 1.2 Gbit / s of data transmission in the LTE network, the innovation should theoretically reach a maximum of 2 Gbit / s. We won't be able to see this kind of speed next year, but recently just established a 877 Mbit / s LTE-A network in Telekom, Petržak. But the higher the theoretical maximum, the higher the actual maximum.

"Because Artificial Intelligence services become widespread and their use is diversified on mobile devices, their processors require higher processing performance and productivity. The Artificial Intelligence features supported by the Exynos 9 Series 9820 offer a new performance dimension to smart devices thanks to the integrated NPU and fourth-generation CPU high-performance kernel. Ben Hur, vice president of marketing, said System LSI, Samsung Electronics.

The Exynos 9820 not only has four powerful processor cores, but also a new NPU. As a result, Artificial Intelligence capabilities are much faster, the speed of the manufacturer is 7 times faster than Exynos 9810.

This results in faster scene evaluation and more advanced shooting by adjusting the settings in real time. Interestingly, the support of 8K video at 30 fps. At the same time, the Exynos 9820 supports 5 cameras. Three or four cameras on the back can remain silent.

MThe Exynos 9820's ultra format codec (MFC) can encode and decode the video at 150 fps in 4K UHD resolution. MFC also enhances colors from 10 bits, providing a more accurate color display than a wider range of tones and tones. So we can have a 10-bit display in the new Galaxy S10. Meanwhile, the new processor supports screen resolution up to 2,160 x 4,096 pixels!

According to Samsung, the Exynos 9820 is 20% stronger than the previous ones in a core. 15% in multi-mode mode also has 40% higher energy efficiency. The new mobile processor includes the latest Mali-G76 GPU cores. They must be 40% more efficient and 35% more efficient.

The mass production of the new chipset will begin this year.
