The incidence rate of acute respiratory viral infections in the Altai region has increased again.

The majority of cases are children under 14 years of age.

Last week, 13.2 thousand acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) were recorded in the Altai region. According to employees of the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor, this outbreak is only under 9.2% of the threshold.

Among the cases, 72% are children under the age of 14 years. No flu cases were reported in the territory of the region. Due to the incidence of ARVI closed preschool and educational institutions are not registered.

A sharp increase in the number of viral infection cases in the Altai Region began in September, when it was much colder in the summer, after the summer weather. Then, in October, with the help of stable hot and dry weather, the incidence rate started to decrease. And in recent weeks, the number of cases is increasing again.
