The Polish volleyball team was missing one point in the FIVB rankings among the teams competing for the Tokyo Games at the Intercontinental. Jacek Nawrocki and his team continue to be the best in 2019.

If the Polish women's team moved to the world championship last year, or reached the last round of the CEV qualifier and scored a few more points, it would rank high in the last FIVB ranking and compete in an intercontinental tournament for promotion to Tokyo games. But this did not happen and White-Red was in the 26th place, behind the Kuba, in the final team qualifying for next year's Olympic qualifiers. Jacek Nawrocki was not the happiest person when we asked about the world's freshest FIVB ranking.
– The criteria accepted by FIVB in the selection of tournaments listed for the new ranking were welded to the position of the teams that emerged in the last volleyball world cup. Maybe not except for Belgium, who had not played in this tournament but scored in the last edition of the World Grand Prix. Sometimes we won with many representations that are much higher than us, but unfortunately, the system adopted by the federation does not allow for the first qualification – he grinned the manager of our volleyball team.
Thus, the lack of promotion for the last Japanese world championship reflected our representation with hiccups. Participation in the World Cup helped even the average cameramen in Cameroon, Canada, Kenya and Mexico to be exhibited in intercontinental competitions. – A long time ago, when we fought for participation in the World Cup, I said we were a completely different representation even at the end of the same season. Then, just after the league, our team didn't play well enough to win the promotion – Nawrocki accepted.
Polish women can find themselves in the continental rankings planned for 2020, thanks to their position in the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) ranking, but there is an almost impossible task waiting there. Many fans believed that many teams from Europe in the first round of Olympic qualifications would be promoted and that this would simplify the task of our volleyball players, but we can say that this would not happen. B Group (China, Turkey, Germany, Czech Republic) will probably race in the world, and F group (the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Kenya), the two strongest teams of the old continent will certainly be introduced. In other words, European qualifications will be extremely challenging and will be advised only to winning Tokyo.
– Such qualities are indisputable, you can only fight. In the European tournament, we will definitely play with the teams listed above. Currently, Serbia, Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands and having represented five powerful like Russia, Europe & # 39; Considering with the power, each of these teams, the first attempt is not suitable for games, it becomes the favorite of almost continental tournament. Bełchat's trainer Skry.
Is Jacek Nawrocki still a quiet optimist? When we don't know, the female staff coach doesn't care about things that aren't dependent on her. – I think more about the upcoming season right now. Our goals are clear: the best choice and the best possible game. We go our own way, which turns out to be good and effective. We are doing everything that the national team has attended to European and world leaders as soon as possible, but this is not a match or a season, but the whole process. Next year we have Nation of Nations and our last goal, the European Championships. They play an objective in their own right, and finally a part in the tournament, so we rely on the best performance. In fact, qualification forms for games are quite uncertain for us, and we don't know how many teams will now participate – said the trainer. According to preliminary findings, the CEV Olympic qualification format will be the same as four years ago in Berlin and Ankara.
