As reported by the Polish Radio RDC, no one wants to build a terminal in Radom. So far, no company has accepted the offer, despite the extension of the deadline to do the job twice. It's 20 months now. The previously announced deadline for 2020 is no longer valid. 2022 seems to be the most realistic deadline for launching the airport in Radom Despite the temptation of early implementation of the investment, there are currently no willing people to do so. Mariusz Szpikowski, president of Przedsiebiorstwo Pastwowego "Poty Lotnicze" (PPL), made it clear that "the terminal in Radom is on a critical investment path.
We also have about 16 months. However, most contractors need to consider the risk of adding financial penalties to the price in relation to exceeding the deadline. Therefore, there is a bonus for previous performance
– PR explains the PPL president in RDC.
The deadline for bidding has finally been extended to November 15th. The construction of the terminal and separation facility was valued at approximately 270 million PLN with PPL.
Airport still postponed in Radom
Doubts about the delay were no longer the beginning of the year. In February 2019, the PPL will cancel the tender for the reconstruction and extension of the runway at the airport in Radom. The tender contractor will then offer more than three times the budget saved by PPL. We would like to remind you that you will be the only one who is willing to make an offer. With a share of just over PLN 288 million, the PPL will pay PLN 88.2 million, and currently the tender amount that has risen to PLN 270 million is still unable to set the contractor determined to invest.
