MANILA, Philippines (AP) – Sven-Goran Eriksson was at the helm of another national team.

The 70-year-old Swede was introduced on Monday as the coach of the Philippines after a famous merchant for more than 10 years.

Eriksson has also coached Mexico and Côte d'Ivoire and numerous club teams, including Rome, Lazio, Benfica and Manchester City.

"I think I think I'm here with my questions. It's not easy to answer that question," Eriksson said.

But Ericksson said he wanted "to do something a little different".

The Philippines has never reached the World Cup and has lagged far behind Japan and South Korea's forces in the region.
