As the world of cars is moving towards the non-driver technology for the mass market, the three manufacturers are developing hyper machines that have been set to become one of the fastest cars ever made.
In 2016, Aston Martin announced its intention to build a road vehicle capable of tipping over to the Formula 1 machine. The company later announced that the limited model would be called Valkyrie.
In September 2017, Mercedes-AMG introduced the one-in-one Formula One-powered One Hypercar as Project One in front of thousands of people on the Frankfurt Motor Show.
McLaren, which is on the fast track to October of this year, introduced the long-awaited Speedtail. The new hypercar is a three-person film inspired by the company's F1 supercar in the early 1990s.
The fans tried to make comparisons between the three hypercars that provided all the flagship status and seven-digit price tags.
But a closer look, the trio of speed machines is much different than they first appeared.
These are three different hypercars in three different designs.
The most fragmented model of the trio is Valkyrie. The machines were written by the famous Red Bull Racing Formula 1 designer Adrian Newey, who has riveted more than one F1 game in the last two decades.
The car has a very aggressive design and has sufficient body to close its mechanical supports. As a small carbon fiber wings dangling from the front bumper, two large air ducts operate underneath to help increase downforce at high speeds.
At the rear, a large carbon fiber diffuser sits under the large rear wing of Valkyrie's body. This always moves automatically to ensure optimum suppression.
In the meantime, the Mercedes-AMG One is a bit thinner than the Aston. One has less carbon fiber wings than its rival to help produce marginally larger and higher speeds downforce from Valkyrie.
Nevertheless, Mercedes has a number of electronically controlled fins along its body designed to improve high-speed handling. A small carbon fiber fin flows down the middle of the engine cover.
McLaren is calling Speedtail a Hyper GT, because it's going to show more homes on the Italian Riviera than speeding up on a race track.
The sleek design of the vehicle lacks wings in other hyper carriers. This reduces friction and allows the vehicle to reach a higher speed than its competitors. There's some electronic fins in the back. They are seamlessly connected to the car's carbon body.
Each manufacturer has his own idea of what constitutes the ultimate hyper-motor.
The engine configuration of the Mercedes-AMG is undoubtedly the most radical of the trio. One uses the 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 hybrid engine using Lewis Hamilton to win the 2015 F1 championship.
The engine, mounted in the company's F1 plant in Brixworth, is connected to four electric motors. When the two systems are assembled, Car magazine says One & # 39;
Aston Martin has chosen a high-speed engine that is well-established in Formula 1. According to Top Gear, the Valkyrie's 6.5-liter engine is similar to the 2.4-liter V8 engine used in the Williams FW32 F1. 2010.
The details are scarce, but the car site expects Valkyrie, the hybrid V12 engine, to produce about 1,000bhp.
In the meantime, McLaren's Speedtail matches the power output of One and Valkyrie, as hybrid systems produce 1,036bhp. The British super car manufacturer has announced its Motortail configuration yet, but Evo is waiting to fit into a version of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine.
McLaren says Speedtail can reach a speed of 250mph, surpassing the highest 217mph speed.
Interior and technology
There is not much to say about Valkyrie's booth, because hipercar focuses more on the racetrack tour than taking comfortably two people to the south of France.
Valkyrie's cabin, referred to as ğ brutally efficient as by Top Gear, features a yr buttoned, F1-style wheel Top. Behind the steering wheel is a digital display with two touchscreen panels on each side.
The interior of the Mercedes is similar to Valkyrie in many ways, but Mercedes occupies more space than Aston.
Drivers receive a special steering wheel covered with carbon fiber. The Autocar comes with a LED strip that runs at the top of the wheel that allows the reading of engine speeds. Behind the steering wheel is a digital display and a touch screen on the center console.
Speedtail's booth is like a tourniquet bigger than a peeled race machine. While the leather coating covers the interior of the vehicle, the metal parts can be found on the doors and feet.
The driver sits in the middle of the Speedtail, and the two passengers are placed on both sides of the central driving seat. This arrangement is inspired by McLaren's F1 super car at the beginning of the 1990s. But unlike F1's minimalist interior design, Speedtail has a roof-mounted digital display and dials to prevent clutter.
Evo expects Valkyrie to offer a price tag of between £ 2 million and £ 3 million, while Aston Martin's hyper car is the most expensive car of all three. There are only 99, then only 24 AMR Pro versions.
Mercedes-AMG has already sold a total of 275 examples. According to Autocar, the cost of each model is 2.1 million.
The McLaren Speedtail will be the cheapest model with £ 1.6 million before taxes, but less than half of the Mercedes-AMG One's production line. The carmaker makes only 106 instances of the three-seater vehicle already sold.
