MANILA, Philippines – Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III reminded Monday's employers that they would give workers appropriate wages when commemorating All Saints' Day and All Souls Day, both of which were declared vacant holidays.
In Job Consultancy Consultancy No. 11-2019, Bello said that workers working on November 1st and 2nd had the right to add 30 percent of their daily wages in the first eight hours of work.
For overtime work, 30 percent of the hourly wages should be provided as an additional.
If employees work on these days of rest, they will pay 50 percent of their daily wages in the first eight hours of work and 30 percent of their hourly wages for overtime.
