We may be Heroes Toronto Hot Docs won the "Best International Documentary" Grand Prix and is currently shortlisted for an Academy Award nomination. This is the first time a Moroccan documentary has won awards.
Heroes could have been filmed for 4 years. It has been four years since Safi 's youth gathered in the ordinary and extraordinary daily life of his youth to capture the momentous moments of obstacles, imagining a world pushing his boundaries. 4 years of personal sacrifice, joy and tears for the film team to share the public with the subjects of pride.
Mixing poems and politics, We Can Become a Hero, revisits the struggle of the double Paralympic champion Azzedine Nouiri for a better Moroccan. Here, he and his siblings can live with disabilities. This is not a film about disability, it's what Morocco has to offer its young people.
The Hero can be a tender journey to the center of what unites us all: we hope.
A preview of the film "We Could Be Heroes" was held in Casablanca on November 13, 2018 with the participation of Olympic champions and the documentary was held on Sunday, 18 November at 21:30 at 2m.
