Governing council: adoption of a draft decree on the status of some professors

Convened via video conference on Thursday, chaired by the head of the Governing Council, Saad Dine El Otmani, the Governing Council adopted the draft decree No. 2.20.286 regulating the specific measures regarding the status of some assistant teachers of qualified secondary school teachers in secondary education.

The text was presented by the Minister of National Education, Vocational Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, government spokesman Saaïd Amzazi.

This statutory decree includes qualified secondary education teachers who come to the Directorate of National Education and continue their studies until the end of the second year of the competitive exam preparation period in the regional centers of education and training, as well as those who were recruited as of January 1, 2020 and started to work as of the 2019/2020 academic year. The qualifications of secondary education teachers have legal seniority and their duration is equal to the time elapsed since the effective date of their duties. The government spokesperson Saaïd Amzazi, who is the Minister of National Education, vocational education, higher education and scientific research, stated in the statement he read at the press briefing held at the end of the Council, until 31 December 2019.
