PRD will try to eliminate IEPS fee
MEXICO CITY (Notimex) .- The PRD reported that the incoming federal government will collect nationwide signatures to fulfill its promises for the elimination of gasoline prices and Production and Services Special Tax (IEPS).
The head of the party, Ángel Ávila, considered the impact of gasolinazos on the economy of Mexican families, due to the rise in prices of basic food baskets and public transport.
He said IEPS is an invention of citizens to pay for the cost of falling oil, and reiterated that the PRD never once regretted fuel increases, ün on the contrary, he has always struggled; In order to eliminate this tax, we will present it on past legislative bills.
In the next few days, Income and Expenditure Budget Law will be presented and it will be seen whether the tax will be eliminated or not.
According to a statement, the PRD stressed that it will continue to prepare initiatives to reduce fuel and gasoline prices. He urged the rest of the political forces to encourage this issue and mobilized the public to join the demand.
The campaign, which will launch the party, will mobilize the entire PRD structure in the country, states, municipalities, militants and sympathizers and say that the signatures collected from here will be collected in order to approve the Income Law and to present the Costs Budget. It will be delivered to the Chamber of Deputies as a political representation of Mexicans.
