Gmail on Android allows users to quickly and easily filter emails and search results, allowing them to find the specific email or information they’re looking for. Search filters can be used independently or after a search.
To search faster, you can narrow the results by selecting search filters at the bottom of the search box, such as a colleague’s name or a specific time period. When searching for emails by sender, you can choose from a list of suggested senders or search for emails from multiple senders.
There are no administrator controls or end user settings for this feature. It is rolling out to both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains, and rollout is expected by the end of October 2021.
The ability to use search filters in Gmail on Android is available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as G Suite Basic and Business customers.
