She gained great popularity after playing Marianne in Normal People.

And Daisy Edgar-Jones seemed to be enjoying her next role while laughing and smiling while filming the new thriller Fresh in Vancouver on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old actress cut off an ordinary figure dressed in a black jacket and mustard shirt and laughed while filming alongside a food truck with lead actor Jonica Gibbs.

Daisy looked at the screen star at all times as she chatted confidently with her co-stars and the crew among them.

She wore her beautiful, long locks down and naturally wavy and let them run over her shoulders while working on the movie.

Leaving things alone, she wore a smart black jacket for the stage with Jonica and sported a brown leather handbag.

Several crew members and the film’s director, Mimi Cave, were also seen wearing a face mask or shield while watching the actress on stage.

Not much is known about the upcoming asocial thriller Fresh, as the studio has kept plot details secret for now.

But last Wednesday, while Daisy filmed outside of what looked like a bar, she locked her lips with her lead actor Sebastian Stan.

According to Variety news, the new movie will be directed by Mimi Cave and is based on Lauryn Kahn’s script.

Daisy caused an overnight sensation when she starred as Marianne with Paul Mescal (Connell) in the hit adaptation of Sally Rooney’s novel Normal People.

Daisy and Paul gained worldwide acclaim and won the hearts of their fans for their portrayal of characters from the 2018 book.

The series is about Irish students Connell and Marianne, who navigate the social and classroom dynamics from school to university.

Filming for Fresh comes shortly after Daisy is reported to have split from her boyfriend Tom Varey after two years dating.

The actress is said to have quit with the 29-year-old actor late last year, after they both decided it would be best to focus on their careers.

Despite their separation, Daisy and Tom are said to be still in good shape and have no “hard feelings” between them.

Speaking to The Sun, a source claimed: ‘They got along really well during the crash last year, but they’re both young and passionate about pursuing their careers.

Daisy is full of opportunities and feels she should put them first, Tom is also truly committed to his acting and wants the best for both.

“They were sorry they didn’t work, but they are still close and there are no harsh feelings.”

MailOnline contacted Daisy and Tom’s representatives for their comments.
