An investigation is under way after 10 people in Oklahoma who thought they were getting sick.
It happened Wednesday at Jacquelyn House, a group home in Bartlesville. TV station WGCL reports.
Shortly after the injections were administered, emergency crews were summoned. When they arrived, they found “multiple unresponsive people.” WGCL says, complicating rescue efforts.
”All these people are symptomatic, lying on the ground, needing help, but can’t communicate what they need,” Bartlesville Police Chief Tracy Roles said in an interview. “That's why I give a lot of praise to the fire and EMS staff for an outstanding job of identifying the problem.”
The pharmacist who applied the shots wasn’t employed by Jacquelyn House. CBS News says that the pharmacist, who has 40 years of experience, has been fully cooperative with investigators.
Oles I’ve never seen where there’s been some sort of medical misadventure to this magnitude, ”Roles told WGCL. “But again, it could have been a lot worse. Not to downplay where we are, but thinking about where we could be.
