Dear guests …
Today, the world faces changes and challenges that are intertwined with nature, threaten our country and think differently. Today's meeting is where we are not talking about biodiversity without looking at the sectors affected by biodiversity such as energy, infrastructure, industry, health, mining, planning and finance. Egypt today shows the interest and awareness of States about the importance of this issue, not only to the ministries of the environment, but also to meet the invitation of other ministries.

The energy, mining, infrastructure, industry and health sectors are based on biodiversity and services provided by the relevant ecosystems, but on the other hand they directly or indirectly affect such systems through the loss, disintegration or fragmentation of the environment, degradation of the propagation process, or migration routes of certain species. Soil, air and water pollution (and the resulting heat pollution), the introduction of foreign invasive alien species, and the important effects of pollution from the waste disposal and the pollution of these sectors, are based on the threat of sustainable development and the concept of sustainable development Negative impact on the future of the basic materials for these sectors returns.

Dear guests …
The integration / integration of biodiversity into these sectors should be carried out through a comprehensive and well-informed process on the value and importance of sustainable protection and biodiversity management with the participation of all relevant sectors and groups, civil society, women and youth.

Infrastructure, for example, is required for human communities. Building infrastructure is vital for economic growth and facilitates all aspects of modern life. The infrastructure includes power infrastructure, urban infrastructure, dams, water treatment plants, wastewater and water pipes that manage water supply for domestic, industrial and agricultural use, linking transport routes that carry people and goods worldwide, telecommunications, electricity, homes and workplaces.

The infrastructure sector is expected to increase significantly in the coming years as a result of population growth, economic development, trade and urbanization. In 2014, 54 percent of the world's population lived in urban areas.

This is expected to reach 68 percent by 2050. As a result of this increase, 70 percent of infrastructure investments are projected to focus on urban areas.

Infrastructure-dependent sectors will grow and grow. In 2050, it is estimated that 25 million kilometers of new asphalt roads and 335,000 kilometers of railway will be required. Demand for both mek traditional ası and eb intelligent ine power systems is expected to increase.

Governments at all levels should use a range of tools to reduce the negative impacts on biodiversity, such as spatial planning, urban planning, strategic environmental assessment, climate change adaptation planning, and regular planning, taking into account their biodiversity needs and priorities. To provide a sustainable and honorable presence for our current peoples but to provide healthy natural resources for future generations. The conference will contribute significantly to the concept of integration in supporting Egypt's 2030 vision, but at regional and international levels.

Egypt's interest in the environment is one of the priorities of regional, African, Arab, Mediterranean and national cooperation to integrate the environmental dimension into national programs and policies, and this will be followed by the 2030 strategy of Egypt, which adopts economic, environmental and social aspects. It has been reflected. sectors.

In addition, we would like to point out the importance of the active participation of all African and Arab countries in the activities of this conference… To ensure that Africa's concerns are integrated into the results of the Conference, a high-level ministerial sector is an ambitious continent for the continent from 2020 to 2030. resulted in an action plan. Especially land degradation, ecosystems and others restoration.

In this context, Egypt has adopted a national approach to ensure the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources through a sustainable development strategy: Egypt's vision of 2030 is the general concept that aims to improve the quality of life, without achieving a better life, in order to improve the concept of sustainable development and the quality of the current life. built as a frame. The concept of development adopted by the strategy is based on three main dimensions, including the economic dimension, the social dimension and the environmental dimension, and takes into account the principle of equal opportunity by taking into account the principle of equal opportunity and the optimal use of resources. All development sectors such as agriculture, industry, infrastructure, tourism, sustainable transportation and others.
The strategy was developed through a comprehensive process of participation by government representatives, the private sector, civil society, academics and experts, and worked hard to define the main features of Egypt's future. Development for Egypt in the coming years.
