With the Flamenco Day festival, Prague this week will celebrate the international day of this Spanish dance. Karime Amay, the pioneer of the legendary flamenco dancer Carmen Amay, will take part in the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as dancers and artists from Spain and Mexico. The premiere of La Fuente production will be released. At the same time, the festival promises a accompanying companion program, said Anna Vašátková.
"The Festival is the world premiere of La Fuente / Spring Festival, a spectacular show on Thursday, featuring the highest level Mexican dancer Karime Amay, a compelling need for freedom, development and exploration in the Fireworks Theater. "he said. Amay returns to flamenco origins of his family, especially to his famous relative, Carmen. In addition, the Lesser Town Forum for the life of the famous dancer prepared an exhibition called Carmen Amaya in the photographs that lasted until 25 November.
On the second day of the festival, the organizers won the flamenco songs of the Spanish interpreter Carmen Fernandez, accompanied by Spanish musician Stanislav Kohout, with the past experience of Spanish guitar masters in the museum museum of Czech. The weekend program will then choreograph Czech and Slovak dance academies in the large library of the Municipal Library and produce the premiere of the production of the Prague dance company Compañia Danza Flamenca Virginia Delgado. On Sunday, the festival will take place in Malostranská beseda, where singer María Marínová and Muse, Irene Álvarez, will exhibit a feminine look at art.
"The festival also offers a diverse program including workshops with Spanish speakers, film screenings, school and general public debates, flamenco market, Spanish gastronomy and open day flamenco academies."
