Arquitectonica, an office based in Miami, unveiled new images of its proposal for a 53-story tower in downtown Los Angeles. The building can be used for two different purposes: residential condominium or hotel. The city of Los Angeles and the Urban Planning Department have published an environmental report with a swimming pool in the 240-meter-tall tower. The tower, designed by Arquitectonica, is one of many projects developed around Pershing Square.

JMF Development has the Pershing Square building and the land on Hill Street and intends to build the tower around the historic building. The project is based on a number of pools and a glass base. Starting from the balconies, the extrusions are becoming more and more pronounced until the dimensions of the pools are balanced.

The first of the two programs will have two, three or four-bedroom accommodations in a 190-room hotel, programs to support guests and a parking space of 126 cars. In the second option, the building will include one, two, three or four bedroom apartments and other services, retail space on the ground floor and a parking lot for 187 vehicles.

The reconstruction of the Pershing Square building begins in 2020. By the way, the tower still has no history.

Urbanize with LA.
