Toronto Paramedics says a girl is in danger from being stabbed in the neck and her mother and another child are injured.
The police and paramedics were called to an estate in Troy, near McCowan Road and Eglinton Avenue East, at around 6:00 pm. On Friday.
The Toronto Paramedics spokesman said Toronto was taken to the trauma center after being stabbed on the girl's neck.
A woman, in her 30s, whom the police later described as her mother, was also taken to a trauma center, the spokesman said. The paramedics said the woman had a blunt force trauma to her head.
A second child was also injured, but the nature of their wounds and the relationship between the girl and the woman were unclear.
Toronto police say officers are looking for a male suspect. He is identified as five-foot-nine and most recently seen wearing a white jacket. He said he might not wear police shoes.
