It was the 17th anniversary of the city.

In the evening, about seven police cruisers were clustered around a section of the car park at the north end of the shopping center between the CIBC bank and the Mucho Burrito restaurant.

The area was cordoned with yellow tape, but the stores themselves remained open, and the shoppers were still busy.

A warehouse supervisor saw the police scan the place next to the bank with their lights as if they were looking for shell skins.

However, the staff in the shops on the stage said that they had seen nothing. All of the windows in these stores were headed towards Bank Street towards the east, and it appeared that the shot was seen from the corner and outside.

While part of the South Keys Shopping Center car park was closed, officials from the Ottawa Police Service searched for an attack on Friday evening, November 23, 2018. Tom Spears / Postmedia.
