Crash shuts Highway 1 in North Vancouver for 6 hours

[ad_1]

Anyone driving in Highway 1 on Saturday evening in North Vancouver experienced major delays after a busy road closed in both directions for about six hours without collision.

Emergency teams reacted to an accident next to the Seymour Parkway exit after 7 pm.

The highway was closed in both directions to the Mountain Road from Lynn Valley Road. Drive BC recommended to use the Lions Gate Bridge as an alternative route to the Second Narrows Bridge and to wait for heavy traffic jams.

Pictures sent to the daily Hive, firefighters participating in a white truck, and also blow up from a vehicle.

It is not known how many people were injured in the accident.

DriveBC said the highway was re-opened for 1:18 hours of car traffic, about six hours after the accident.
