FORT LAWRENCE, N.S. – A 61-year-old man died at the exit 1A on the border of Nova Scotia-New Brunswick, after two vehicle collisions in the eastern lane of Highway 104.
In a news release, the RCMP said the man who fought in the driver's seat of the car was found dead.
The first investigation indicates that the man-driven vehicle collided with the tractor trailer. No one else was hurt.
While traffic analysts were investigating the accident, the east side of Highway 104 was closed to traffic. The traffic was being redirected around the motorway on Highway No. 366 in Tidnish over the Highway 970 in New Brunswick.
The western strip lane of the highway was not affected.
