German software manufacturer SAP bought US company Qualtrics for eight billion dollars. The Walldorf-based company said last night that both the companies and the committees of Qualtics shareholders have approved the project. A result of the purchase is expected in the first half of 2019.
Qualtrics is one of the world's pioneers in Experience Management (XM) software and allows companies to develop in an increasingly immersive business world. In 2018, Qualtrics expects future growth rates of more than 40 percent, excluding sales of more than $ 400 million and potential synergies resulting from its commitment to SAP.
SAP receives all shares issued by Qualtrics in cash of $ 8 billion. SAP provided a total of seven billion euros to cover the purchase price and the costs associated with the purchase.
