Paraná – Eight people will be transplanted for two operations carried out in Paraná


On Friday and Saturday, two organs and tissue donations were performed at the same time in the city of Paraná. Eight patients will benefit from different transplants.
The processes were carried out at the San Martín hospital and La Entrerriana sanatorium, with extensive experience in organ transplantation and organ transplantation.

They were managed by the Paraná Entre Ríos (Cucaier) Ablation and Implants Coordination Center under the Entre Ríos Ministry of Health. Faced with the inevitable death of these two people, the professionals were accompanied by all the guarantees brought by the current legislation, which was amended by Law No. 27447 in the donation process.

From this new solidary movement, eight patients have access to both kidney and corneal transplants. Two of the kidneys were assigned to the Buenos Aires patients and the special factor they had. And the remaining two were transferred to Entre Ríos patients in Paraná.

Corneas were analyzed in Entre Ríos's Ocular Tissue Bank (BTO), which was recently commissioned at the San Martin de Paraná Hospital. Because of the widespread distribution of logistics, its transfer to Buenos Aires, its operation and subsequent distribution.

The officials of Cucaier are grateful for the great example given by experts from the donor family and two institutions and security personnel. In addition, a special thanks to the automotive staff of the Ministry of Health, because the transfer of the organs had to be done by land for the G20 summit.
